KSDS, Inc. Dogs

KSDS assistance dog “teams” consist of the highly-trained dog and the person who is visually impaired or physically disabled. A Social Dog Team consists of a highly-trained dog and a professional in the field of education, counseling, medicine, rehabilitation, retirement, and specialty agencies. The cost for each team placement is estimated at $15,000. Today KSDS has working teams in 30 states and puppy raisers in 10 states.

KSDS follows the guidelines set forth by Assistance Dogs International (ADI) for the minimum standards in training and placing guide, service, and social dogs.  KSDS also abides by its own set of training standards that meet and exceed those of ADI.
